Terms & Conditions

1. Fees

Class fees are payable by the term and are due on or before the first class of the session. In the case where class dates fall on a public/statutory holiday, term fees will be calculated on a pro rata basis. Payments are to made through invoice - CodingKids uses Stripe online payments which is a secure and renown payment system.

Please email [email protected] for bank transfer details. Fees will not be waived if your child is unable to attend for any reason, including illness or vacation. Late enrolments in the term will be accepted upon the director’s discretion, and fees will be pro-rated accordingly.

2. Health & Safety

In order to maintain appropriate standards of Health & Safety, parents/guardians are responsible for accurately disclosing any prior medical or physical conditions on this form, updating any conditions as they arise, and to notify the teacher prior to the commencement of class. If you are in any doubt as to the suitability of the class for your child, please consult your doctor. By submitting this form you expressly acknowledge the engagement in class under the care and supervision of Coding Kids Hong Kong and it’s instructors in the course of tuition.

Since CodingKids conducts classes online via a video-chat platform, the safety of all students must be in the hands of their guardians if the student is under 18 years of age. CodingKids recommends that parents be present at all times during classes, whether to help those who are too young to operate computers well enough, or simply provide any necessary help if the student is unwell during class.

3. Adverse Weather & Class Cancellation

All classes will proceed, no matter what the weather situation as the classes are held online.

Coding Kids Hong Kong reserves the right to cancel classes due to instructor’s health condition. If a class is cancelled for this reason, parents will be notified as soon as possible. No fees will be refunded for cancelled group classes in this manner, as long as the total amount of cancelled group classes does not amount to more then 5% of total classes for that term. After this 5% percentage, discounts will be offered to students for the following term based on a one class a week pro-rata.

For private and semi-private classes that are cancelled, money will be refunded if a time cannot be found to conduct a make-up class. Otherwise an agreement for a discount for next term can be arrange.

4. Instructor Substitution

Coding Kids Hong Kong reserves the right to substitute instructors as and when it is necessary. No refunds will be given in this case.

5. Exclusions

If a student is persistently disruptive, and/or the teacher assesses that their participation negatively affects others in the class, the teacher may choose to exclude the student to maintain a harmonious atmosphere. No refund will be made for a day missed or cost of transport.

In the interests of health & safety, students who attend class unprepared or improperly attired may be asked to sit out the class. No refund will be given in this case.

6. Withdrawals

No refunds will be given for withdrawals or cancellations made after 1 month of session start date. Please notify Coding Kids Hong Kong in writing at least 1 month prior to the withdrawal date if you wish to withdraw your child from our school.

7. Liability

Coding Kids Hong Kong does not accept liability for personal injury or death of any participant unless directly caused by the proven negligence by the company or it servants.

8. Photography, Videography & Media

Should Coding Kids Hong Kong require the use of media (such as, but not limited to, photos and videos) from classes, events, performances etc. the parent/guardian will be provided with an additional release form to permit or deny the use of the aforementioned media.
